"Let this cup pass from me" Jesus said.

"Not my will but yours be done"

Jesus himself, praying to his father with humbleness

For he knew what had to be done since the first day he was born

His family loved him

Mary his earthly mother

Joseph his earthly father

His disciples loved him so much

Peter, denied this son of man three times

Not knowing he would

Jesus on the cross

He knew my name

Jesus on the cross, he took my shame

Jesus on the cross, lifted my grief

Jesus on the cross, died for my sins

God forgive them for they know not what they do

With every ounce of breath my Jesus had, he thought of you and me

Kill Kim! Kill Him! Crucify Him!

The people cried for they didn't know what they were saying

Flesh ripped from the saviors back

The crown of thorns bashed down on his head, painted a picture of this bloody son of the king

One…Two…Three…Four…

They scraped shrapnel across his back leaving gouges in the rough carpenter skin

Mocking him

Laughing at him

It shames me that I know I would be doing that too

Unrecognizable

The pain indescribable

His love kept himself on that cross on that cloudy Calvary day

His mercy and hope kept Jesus on the cross

Love, Mercy, Hope, and Forgiveness

He shared in his hardest time

How could anyone love me that way?

How could anyone care for me that way?

He took my sin away!

Hallelujah!

I can rejoice in Joy today

On that Calvary day the soldiers threw his garments away, gambling at his feet

"Truly this was the son of God"

A soldier cried knowing what he had done

Jesus forgave us for we knew not what we did.

Thank you for being a friend for I know I don't deserve your love

I know you'll be there for me through and through.
