Asylum Of Emotions

Crazy follows you everywhere

Getting crazy yourself is something you don't want to be

Has your family ever made you feel, you live in a insane asylum

Not physically but emotionally

You have loved the very thing that comes at you with their harsh words

Pretty soon those words become harsh reality

Feeling like you need a straight jacket on your emotions

Telling yourself if you don't feel anything you won't have to deal with it

When will the cool waters rush in?

When will the light be seen at the end of your tunnel?

Your emotions turning your stomach inside out

Becoming oblivious to the world around you

All you feel is hurt

How did I ever feel this way in the first place

Trying to blame everyone but yourself

When you have no idea how to get out of your mess

Where you are sitting, start seeing the white padded wall crowd your mind

Everything becomes so distant in your head

Trying to replay what has happened

Waves are all you see crashing in, getting to the highest peak

Knowing the only person that can pluck you out is God

God is the master of the wind

Peace be still!

Finally he says to your storm, letting you know, he knew what was happening, when quite often you thought he was sleeping.

The waters are still

Gliding to your boat to solid ground

Knowing you'll stay sound

Let God be the master of your boat

You'll be setting sail when he wants you to float

Let the Holy Spirit say "Land Ho!"

Leading you up to the very row

That made you grow

*Just know that God will be there in the worst of storms and He's the one that can say peace be still and row you to ground you can finally walk on.
