Listening Have you ever taken the time to just sit back and think back to all the things you did in past years whether it be good or bad? Knowing that another day is ahead of you It makes me realize how many people take time for granted sometimes With the mentality of "Oh I'll just do it later" becomes a habit Pretty soon nothing gets done When really is that time of later going to actually come? Aren't you glad that God doesn't have that mentality? What would happen if God would "Oh I'll do it later" with the problems that you have? Granted sometimes it feels like he it millions of miles away But, that is just where we want Him sometimes Do you actually think He is just going to wait on you hand and foot? God is not a dog and he won't fetch something if you throw it God is not a puppet conforming to your hand making Him do everything you say Why is God so wonderful because he doesn't listen to us? Or he does listen to us and hears everything you are saying, but what is it that you really want? All God really wants is to hear the desires of our heart and not what we need For he knows already, what we need He wants to know what we want Are we so wrapped up in asking for things that we need and forget the things that we want Sometimes we mock Him thinking that he isn't listening to anything that we say Always saying what we need God I need this God I need that When is it ever going to be? Hey! God I want a relationship with you Hey! God I want to be in your presence Hey! God I want to see your kingdom come God knows what we need and he promises that he'll never forget those But the desires of your heart is what he really wants. Love God with all your heart and ALL things shall be added unto you according to his will. We are children of the King! Why is it that so many "Children of the King" are so whiny? Do we not have child like faith knowing that everything we need is going to be met? Or do we have faith just until we aren't patient anymore? Wondering why he hasn't come through God maybe testing you wondering how long the whinnying is going to last Finally when you stop and let Him take over your problems is when He can actually do something Very quickly you say sorry for ever doubting him Why didn't I just give it to Him the first place? All the while God is saying the same thing Wouldn't it just be simpler if we just sit back and enjoy the ride?
