It's Times Square

There are many people around

All you want to do is let out a huge sound

You call out to the very God who created you

Somehow the distance between you got very small

You have his ear in anything you could want

Daddy? You say…

How can this world be this way

So many times day by day

Pleading, asking, and wondering why nobody hears you

In the midst of those people you hear your daddy say

How many times have I asked you to pray?

You turn a deaf ear to a 4 letter word meaning more than you could ever fathom

Your own brother is in dismay

Only you is God wanting you to pray

Turning your back on the most important thing you and your brother needs

A heart breaking deeper than you think

Being on the brink of something great

You aren't going to catch it

If you don't submit all your hurts and fears

There is a soul riding on your heart from all these years

Pray is the hardest thing to do right now

But don't you know there is a father in heaven that will show you how?
